Our top-selling items for the past 2 years have been these small ceramic standard pots in a broad range of rich, vibrant colors. These pots and saucers, which are colored with a proprietary powder-coating process, feature a perfect, uniform finish on every pot and precise, perfectly matched colors from one batch to the next. Often used to protect metallic surfaces, the powder coating process can also be used to produce flower pots and vases in bright uniform colors. Most ceramic flower pots are coated with glazes, which are technically melted glass and gain their coloration through the addition of colorants which change color as they melt when the planters are fired in a kiln. This process can produce absolutely stunning planters as the various colors blend together, but it can also be unpredictable. On the other hand, flower pots colored using a powder coating process are will generally feature uniform colors and in a rainbow of vibrant colors and metallic finishes. These hues are applied by spraying a plasticine powder onto the surface of a hot pot, causing the colors to melt and permanently adhere to the clay walls of the pot.
